While leveling up your character the normal way, you can also earn Bad Ass Tokens for completing certain tasks such as getting X amount of kills with a certain weapon, spending X amount of money on vending machines or picking up a certain amount of ECHO recorders. These can be gained from level 5 (when you unlock the Action Skill) and upwards. The fact that you can increase weapon stats with his Skill Tree makes this character quite deadly.Īchievements: The only thing you need with Axton is 100 kills with his Sabre Turret. There are no particular weapons that Axton has an advantage with, but he does seem to play smoothly whenever you equip an Assault Rifle or SMG. His turret is his favorite sidekick and provides cover fire whenever he is in trouble.

The only new thing you can find while playing the game is a mini-map in the top right corner which will come in handy while going through the encyclopaedia of missions. Sometimes the money - and challenge counter - may show its face, but that will all be similar to what the original game had to offer. In the bottom-right corner you’ll see how much ammo you have left in your equipped weapon, as well as how many grenades you still have left in your inventory. In the bottom-left corner you’ll find your health and shield, as well as the action skill - if it’s greyed out, then you will not be able to use it - if it has a green tint then you are good to go. While playing, you’ll notice the HUD (Heads-Up Display) is the same as in the original Borderlands Achievements game, if not slightly updated.
